Amcanion

Rhoi cyflwyniad i ddiogelu a fydd yn cynyddu gwybodaeth a dealltwriaeth cyfranogwyr o’u cyfrifoldebau diogelu ac o ble i gael rhagor o wybodaeth.

Cynnwys

Mae Llywodraeth Cymru wedi dweud bod “Diogelu yn fater i bawb”, tra mae’r Comisiwn Elusennau wedi datgan bod “Diogelu yn flaenoriaeth lywodraethu allweddol” i elusennau. Dylai diogelu fod yn flaenoriaeth i bob mudiad yn y trydydd sector, yn enwedig y rheini sy’n gweithio gyda phlant, pobl ifanc ac oedolion mewn perygl. Mae trefniadau diogelu da a phriodol yn rhoi sicrwydd i’r cyhoedd am eich mudiad ac yn cyfrannu at enw da’r trydydd sector yn gyffredinol.

Canlyniadau dysgu

Erbyn diwedd y cwrs dylai cyfranogwyr allu:

  • Ystyried eu harfer diogelu i atal niwed, camdriniaeth neu esgeulustod i’r bobl yn eu mudiadau
  • Datblygu neu ddiwygio eu polisi diogelu
  • Deall y ddeddfwriaeth sy’n sail i ddiogelu yng Nghymru
  • Gwybod o ble i gael adnoddau diogelu ehangach

Ar gyfer pwy mae’r cwrs

Mae’r cwrs hwn yn arbennig o addas i staff, gwirfoddolwyr ac ymddiriedolwyr mudiadau trydydd sector sydd am gynyddu eu gwybodaeth a’u dealltwriaeth o ddiogelu. Gellir hefyd ei ddefnyddio i ddatblygu, diwygio a gweithredu polisi diogelu ac ehangu arfer da.

Hefyd ar y gweill yn fuan…

Aim

To give an introduction to safeguarding that will increase participants’ knowledge and understanding of their safeguarding responsibilities and where to find further information.

Content

Welsh Government has said that “Safeguarding is everyone’s business”, while the Charity Commission has stated that “Safeguarding is a key governance priority” for charities. Safeguarding should be a priority for all third sector organisations, and especially those that work with children, young people and adults at risk. Good and appropriate safeguarding provides public reassurance about your organisation and contributes to the positive reputation of the third sector in general.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the course participants should be able to:

  • Consider their safeguarding practice to prevent harm, abuse or neglect to the people in their organisations
  • Develop or revise their safeguarding policy
  • Understand the legislation that underpins safeguarding in Wales
  • Know where to find a wider range of safeguarding resources

Who this course is for

This course is particularly suitable for staff, volunteers and trustees of third sector organisations who want to increase their knowledge and understanding of safeguarding. It can also be used to develop, revise and implement safeguarding policy and extend good practice.
