Universal Credit Conference

15th March 2018 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Universal Credit is the biggest shake-up of social security in a generation. With more than 400,000 households in Wales expected to claim it by 2022, it is vital to find out how it operates and how it could affect households in your area.

This half-day conference is a great opportunity for stakeholders from the public, private and third sectors to learn what we know about the roll-out of universal credit and the impact of the changes on claimants. There’ll also be a great opportunity to share ideas about how to make Universal Credit work as well as possible.

Speakers include:

  • Fiona Jones, Work Services Director Wales, Department for Work and Pensions
  • Lucy Joyce, Research Director, IPSOS Mori
  • Lisa Hayward, Welfare Reform Policy Officer, Welsh Local Government Association
  • Lindsey Kearton, Senior Policy Officer, Citizens’ Advice Cymru
  • Hayley Macnamara, Policy and Programmes Manager, Community Housing Cymru
  • and others to be confirmed.

Cost

The cost is just £75 per delegate including VAT and payment fees.

The cost is extremely competitive and you also have the assurance of knowing that any surplus generated is retained in Wales and reinvested in Bevan Foundation activities.
