Marie Curie Focus Group

17th May 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 11:59 pm

Marie Curie is holding a focus group to better understand the needs of people with dementia, their families and supporters.

Here’s a message from Marie Curie:

“Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Our services can help you improve your quality of life if you are living with any terminal illness, and can provide care and support to meet your specific needs.

“All our services are free of charge. Our Cardiff and the Vale Hospice is located in Penarth by the sea, with wonderful views overlooking the Bristol Channel. We provide a peaceful and friendly welcoming environment, offering specialist care and support, in for people living with a terminal illness and their loved ones.”

Marie Curie – Listening to you

“We believe that everyone should have equal access to all the care and support they need if they are living with a terminal illness. To help achieve this we have launched a 3 year project, funded by the Big Lottery Fund, to look at the needs of people living with a terminal illness in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, including people with dementia.

“This focus group will look at the needs of people with dementia and their carers and families. The information gathered will be used to make recommendations to Marie Curie about the changes needed to service provision to improve access for these groups.”
