NewLink Wales training
This popular evidence-based approach has been informing the work of a wide range of practitioners in health and social care fields for around 30 years. It originated from work in the substance misuse field. If you are new to work in this arena or came on a course many years ago and are feeling rusty, this 2-day course is an ideal opportunity to learn or relearn the basics of the approach and put them into practice.

Trainer: Viv runs the STARS training project now based at NewLink Wales. She initially trained as a counsellor 24 years ago and has worked in the substance misuse field as counsellor, trainer and supervisor for 19 years. She was originally trained in Motivational Interviewing by the authors of the approach in 2002.
