Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) Level 3 training

This Cardiff Council course is for Adult Services Team managers; Social Workers and anyone with Case Management / Care Co-ordinator responsibility; managers of residential homes and managers of domiciliary agencies.

It is essential that all participants have attended (or completed previously) the Recognition and Referral Training (Level 2 POVA) or have completed refresher using the E-learning package at this level.

Overview of Training:

  • Stages of Strategic Process
  • Roles and responsibilities within the strategic process
  • Gathering/sharing Information

Aims of the course:

  • To provide practitioners with an understanding of their role within the POVA strategic process.

Objectives of the course:

At the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Understand the scope and purpose of the POVA process.
  • Understand your role and responsibilities within the POVA process.

Facilitator: Kevin Jones, Independent Adult Protection Consultant and Trainer

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participants who attend the whole session. Refreshments will be provided on arrival but lunch will not be provided.
