Profs Carolyn Wallace, David Pontin and the FRAIT team are organising the ‘Family Resilience: Taking the concept out into the world’ event in South Wales. They wondered whether you would be interested in attending, and/or sharing the information with colleagues and your networks.
The event will also double up as the inaugural AGM for the International Family Resilience Network in the afternoon. A video live stream will be available for those who are not able to come to the event on the day, details to follow.

Background: Following the successful launch and implementation of FRAIT (Family Resilience Assessment Instrument and Tool) in Wales (2017), we will be showcasing the latest developments with a view to building an international network for addressing family resilience.
FRAIT, the Family Resilience Assessment Instrument and Tool created by health visitors (public health nurses) for health visitors to use in their daily practice with families who have children under 5 years old. The FRAIT comprises of the FRAI (Family Resilience Assessment Instrument) and the FRAT (Family Resilience Assessment Tool), both of which form an evidenced based assessment for health visitors (public health nurses) in their daily practice. Its purpose is to assist health visitors (public health nurses) in decision making, care planning and planning for further interventions and resources. Using this standardised approach can help to provide an opening with families to discuss resilience and its protective factors. www.frait.wales.
