Bydd y gweithdai a thrafodaethau sesiynau llawn yn cynnwys:

  • Rôl ac effaith dysgu yn y gymuned, seiliedig ar le yn y dyfodol

Learning and Work Institute is pleased to bring you this year’s adult learning conference in partnership with Adult Learning Partnership Wales and supported by Adult Learning Wales.

Developing a right to lifelong learning

Last year the Welsh Government made a ground-breaking commitment to developing a right to lifelong learning.  With evidence continuing to show the value of lifelong learning and adult education to helping people to adapt to the changing nature of work, to improve health and well-being, and to bring communities together, we have an opportunity in Wales to work together to make a new right to learning a reality.

This year the Adult Learning Conference will focus on the key components needed to deliver a right to lifelong learning, including the role of colleges, universities, community learning, training providers, trade unions, and the third sector. Delegates will hear from key sector leaders on the challenges and opportunities, as well as having the opportunity to discuss in detail the policy changes needed to make this a reality for people in all communities in Wales.

Workshops and plenary discussions will include:

  • Future role and impact of community, place based learning
  • Learner experience and the importance of advice, guidance and practical support
  • Role of trade unions in supporting essential skills in the workplace
  • The importance of investment in family learning
  • Creating routes into higher education
  • Building Wales’ online learning offer
