Launch of Measuring the Mountain’s story gathering for 2019/20.
Building on what we found out last year, we would like to hear from anyone with a story to share about their recent experience of being a carer or of needing care and support services in Wales. The stories can be whatever someone would like to share with us – good, bad, interesting, not so interesting – whatever stands out for them, or is recent and fresh in their mind (you can find examples of stories that were shared with us last year on our website www.mtm.wales/resources).
Please can you promote MtM to people you work with – your support is vital to helping us reach the diverse people and communities in Wales who need care and support services, and who are carers. We want to hear from as many people as we can so that we really understand what people’s experiences are like, what’s working well and what could be improved.
You can access our story-survey here – https://tinyurl.com/y62bed74 – and by following the link on our website www.mtm.wales / www.mym.cymru
We will be collecting stories until May 31st 2020, after which we will analyse the stories and share our findings with Welsh Government, organisations and people across Wales.
Ways you can get involved:
- Share your story about social care – it takes around 10 minutes
- Help others to share their stories (check www.mtm.wales/resources or contact Katie for more info)
- Invite us to an event, meeting or activity so that we can run a story-sharing workshop or drop-in
- Tell people about the project and share the links above
Attached to this email are:
- The paper version of SenseMaker for anyone who can’t access the online one or would prefer to use the paper one – please contact Katie to discuss returning completed paper copies
- A quick guide to completing SenseMaker (the page numbers reference the online version)
- An overview sheet about the project and sharing a story
- An article for use in newsletters or on websites etc – please also circulate this email to anyone who might be interested.
All of the above are available in Welsh from Katie and from www.mym.cymru/adnoddau.
