(via Admiral Nurse Service Administrator Wales)

The Royal British Legion Admiral Nurse Service

We are a service which was started some 18 months ago in conjunction with Dementia UK to provide support and Information for carers of People with Dementia. We cover South East Wales from Neath Port Talbot to Monmouthshire and of course Cardiff & The Vale.

Our eligibility criteria is that either the carer or the person with dementia has to have served in the Armed Forces. (we would accept the wife/husband of a deceased veteran – as he/she would be classed as his/her dependant).

If you would like more information on our service please do not hesitate to contact me.

I can provide leaflets if required or a Nurse to come and do a presentation for you.

The Royal British Legion can also offer support to veterans, serving members of the armed forces and their families.  Everything from money & debt advice to a fridge/cooker/wheelchair a holiday and Handy van service. I can give you contact details for this service also.

Regards

Mair
