Today, Parkingson's UK Cymru launch their new awareness raising campaign: Parkinsons Is. Please take a moment to watch their campaign video and understand a little more about what Parkinson’s Is

Parkinson’s affects nearly 7,700 people in Wales. That’s about one adult in every 340. (This is the higher than the rate for the UK as a whole as well as for any of the UK countries)

Around 977 people will be diagnosed with Parkinson’s in Wales this year – about 19 people every week. The overwhelming majority of people with Parkinson’s in Wales (87%) are aged over 65, and around 1 in 3 are aged over 80. By 2025 the number of people with Parkinson’s in the UK will rise by nearly a fifth.

You can also support the campaign by sharing the video on social media and helping us spread the word.
