Invest in Nature Newsletter March 2019:  Coming to an end.

After a brilliant 3.5 years of events, webinars, resources and engagement to support community action on the environment, the Invest in Nature (formerly Environet) service run by WCVA will be closing on 31 March 2019. The service was made possible by Welsh Government funding that has now come to an end.

WCVA will continue influencing work on the Well-Being of Future Generations Act, with resources and information available here. The information and resources developed by the Invest in Nature team on Climate Change and Greening your Organisation will be maintained by Cynnal Cymru – Sustain Wales, Wales’s sustainable development charity and Wales Biodiversity Partnership will host the Making Space for Nature webpages.

It has been an inspirational 3.5 years over which time Invest in Nature has supported more than 600 requests for information, advice, promotion or partnership; held 23 webinars and 10 events, including our Zero Carbon Wales events with CAT, and developed resources that have been viewed more than 30,000 times.

An independent evaluation also found that the service was highly regarded as a ‘positive force for good’ amongst the people we want to support.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed ideas, advice, stories, expertise and wisdom during the Invest in Nature project. Please don’t forget to take a look at our resources before they find their new homes.

Kind regards
Clare
