The Cultural Projects Scheme is for discrete cultural projects that meet the corporate priorities of the Council and contribute towards the delivery of the arts service that values excellence, collaboration and community cohesion.

Projects must demonstrate clearly how they will meet at least one of the following objectives:-

  1. engage with the disadvantaged communities of the 4 Communities First clusters 
  2. specifically engage with young people aged 18-25 years who are not in employment, education or training
  3. support a programme of opportunities for apprenticeships, trainee schemes and work experience placements for young people
  4. support community engagement by bringing different groups together within the community.

 

Priority areas for projects in 2015/16

Cardiff Council particularly welcomes applications for activities which reach participants and audiences in the four Communities First Clusters of Cardiff:-

  1. Butetown, Riverside and Grangetown -– BRG Cluster
  2. Ely, Caerau and Fairwater –- Cardiff West
  3. Splott, Tremorfa, Adamsdown and Roath -– STAR Cluster
  4. Llanrumney, Pentwyn, Rumney, St Mellons and Trowbridge -– Cardiff East

The deadline for the first round of submissions is Wednesday 29 April 2015 at 5pm. If funds remain unallocated following the first round of submissions, a second round will be announced at a later date.     

Bids are invited from between £3,000 - £5,000
