Public Health Outcomes Framework listening events

With the introduction of the Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Act an opportunity has arisen for a Wales Public Health Outcomes Framework (PHOF) to be developed and published as part of the suite of other Outcomes Frameworks which are already published by the Welsh Government.

Public Health Wales is working with Welsh Government to develop the PHOF and are starting a round of listening events. This will support the development of the PHOF that is co-produced by residents, organisations and other key stakeholders. By putting partners and residents at the centre of the process, the outcomes and indicators will not only be supported by a sound evidence base, but will be driven by local experience and opinion. This approach is a reflection that public health outcomes cannot be solved by a single person or organisation. They require co-operative action and responsibility across all parts of the system – including personal action by individuals – and closer partnership working with shared priorities across multiple organisations.

There are seven events – one in each Local Health Board area.  The day is split into two – with an afternoon session (14.00 to 16.00 hours) comprising invited organisations, which will require registration and a separate evening ‘drop in’ session (17.00 to 20.00 hours) which is open to everyone especially local residents and communities.

The Cardiff date is Monday 21 September -Training Room, Western Leisure Centre, Caerau Lane, Cardiff, CF55 5HJ.
