Free introductory training session for Third Sector Organisations – The implications and opportunities of The Wellbeing of Future Generations (Wales) Bill

26th March 2015

The Wellbeing of Future Generations Bill builds upon the Government of Wales Act and the sustainable development scheme One Wales One Planet. It has the potential to affect the way that public bodies interact with the voluntary sector.

It is a further step to embedding sustainable development principles as the Welsh way of doing things.

At the same time, big business and leading brands are re-organising their whole business model along sustainable development principles establishing working partnerships with charities and social enterprises of both local and global significance.

Sustainable development is fundamental to the ethos and mission of the voluntary sector in Wales. Managers and trustees of charities and voluntary organisations need to understand the implications of the Future Generations Bill and the emerging culture of sustainability to enhance their chances of long-term success.

Free Introductory morning training sessions from Cynnal Cymru-Sustain Wales
Cynnal Cymru is a charity that has been at the forefront of sustainable development in Wales since 2002, working in partnership with The Welsh Government, WCVA, One Voice Wales, The WLGA and others to facilitate understanding and support practical action.

Cynnal Cymru has a mature approach to training and professional development and have provided learning opportunities for Communities First Partnerships, through WCVA to Third Sector organisations and One Voice Wales as well as social enterprises and private business.
In 2015 they will be working with WCVA to help members understand the implications of the Future Generations Bill and the opportunities available through interaction with the Sustainable Development Charter network.
