Funding
Ensuring your organisation has enough money to carry out all its aims can be one of the biggest headaches for third sector organisations. The information in this section will keep you informed about the many different aspects of funding and commissioning.
We all know that accessing money is a pretty tough and full-time job for most third sector organisations. Preparation is key; it's not as easy as filling in an application form.
This is why C3SC has a dedicated Grants Officer, Howard Dobson, as well as third sector officers covering your area - to help you with your funding enquiries, and to guide you through the process of applying for funding. Here are some resources you may find helpful:
Grantnet and GRANTfinder Services
Grantnet is a source of accurate and comprehensive information on UK and EU financial support. This includes grants, subsidies, loans, and other incentives. They are available to businesses, to third sector groups and to the public sector. It is organised in Cardiff through a partnership arrangement between Cardiff Council and C3SC, and is a Cardiff Voluntary Sector Compact initiative. Click on the Grantnet Logo to register and access the Grantnet service.
GRANTfinder is a user-friendly, accurate and continuously updated grants database that gives more detail than Grantnet. It has helped hundreds of organisations to secure millions of pounds' worth of support. GRANTfinder is one of the UK's leading grants and policy databases and includes details in excess of 6,000 funding opportunities. If you want to book a Grantfinder session, please contact Howard Dobson at C3SC on (029) 2048 5722 or speak to the third sector officer for your area.
