We want to do all we can to equip you in the invaluable work you are doing. Becoming a member gives you access to the support we offer.

Here are 11 reasons to become a member of C3SC:

1) You’ll receive support from a C3SC third sector officer who covers your area of Cardiff. They can meet with you to discuss your needs – and offer you advice on funding, training, governance, legal requirements … and lots more.

2) You can take advantage of C3SC’s training programme and events, and we can put details of your events and training on the C3SC website.

3) You’ll receive regular information in our quarterly Maniffesto newspaper, regular e-bulletins and on this website – so you’ll be up to date with what’s happening in the third sector in Cardiff. You’ll hear about events and training, funding, and consultation opportunities.

4) You can download free information sheets on topics including: getting started, funding, social media, and marketing your organisation.

5) Becoming a member gives you access to practical services and equipment – including photocopying, printing, resources library, meeting room and equipment.

6) You’ll have access to invaluable funding search tools for the third sector (Grantnet and Fundfinder).

7) Membership entitles you to apply for C3SC’s Impact Plus small capital grant scheme for capital items up to £5,000.

8) You can join themed networks – which give you the opportunity to meet with others in your area of interest.

9) You can get your voice heard on issues that affect your organisation by participating in the Cardiff Third Sector Forum, which gives you the opportunity to influence the Council’s policies and decisions.

10) You’ll have an opportunity to interact with local planning and decision-making processes. We will also represent your organisation’s interest at a strategic level.

11) C3SC can link you to specialist equalities and diversity organisations. We also organise events and training with partner organisations to give you support and keep you updated on equalities and diversity issues.

You can become a Full Member (voting member) if you are:
•    A not-for-profit group / organisation or social enterprise
•    Managed by an unpaid committee / board of trustees
•    Based in, and serving, the city of Cardiff

You can become an Associate Member (non-voting member) if you are:
•    A business / umbrella body / school / college / statutory body / non-governmental body / training provider / media / individual person
•    Not managed by an unpaid committee / board of trustees

Annual Membership Fees

Free: Full Members with an annual income of less than £10,000
£10: Full Members with an annual income of over £10,000
£25: Associate Membership
