WCVA, through the Safer Future Communities Project, is providing an opportunity for third sector partners / service deliverers in Community Safety to come together at The Orbit Centre, Merthyr, on 6th August, to find out more about the Police and Crime Commissioner role, and also the new structure for commissioning community safety services – expected to focus on substance misuse, youth offending and victim support.

If you are a voluntary sector organisation operating in Cardiff and would like to attend, please email WCVA at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to book your place. If you get a place, please can you let Katie Mallam know so we can keep track of who is going from the Cardiff area. If you are unable to attend on 6th August, Cardiff Safer and Cohesive Communities Network, which Katie facilitates, is meeting on Wednesday 5th September, and doubtless the information will be shared at that meeting also, so please don’t feel you are missing out on an important briefing if you don't manage to secure a place.
