Food Standards Agency Wales provides tips on packing food shopping
More people are re-using bags so is important that raw meat and fish are kept separate from other foods. If bags are re-useable, keep some just for raw meat and fish. Re-useable bags (and single use carrier bags) should be disposed of if there’s been spillage of meat juices.


Action plan launched to tackle poverty in Wales
The aim of the Tackling Poverty Action Plan is to reduce the number of children in poverty and help people gain employment by forging links with business and focussing on the needs of NEETs (young people who are not in education, employment or training).


Making community events more playful
Play Wales has produced a new information sheet to support communities to make their events more playful and a poster to help advertise events.


Legislation for children and young people with additional needs
The Welsh Government is seeking views until 19 October on proposals to reform the legislative framework for special educational needs.

 

New resource to help identify child neglect         
The NSPCC and Cardiff University have launched a resource to help practitioners identify emotional neglect and emotional abuse in pre-school children.
