PGCE Open Day - particularly looking for BME participants

  • PDF

Cardiff School of Social Sciences in partnership with Communities First are holding an ‘Open Day Event’, targeting BME participants who are mostly underrepresented in the teaching profession.

Dr Alan Dowler from Cardiff University will run an information session on the Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and other related courses that are on offer at Cardiff University. Both of these programmes meet the entire National Standard for Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) and will qualify individuals to train or teach anywhere in the post-compulsory education sector.

Entry is open to those who will be delivering 120 hours learning over the two-year period. It doesn't matter the context of the learning is or whether it is paid or voluntary work.

The open day takes place on Wednesday 18 July from 1-3.30pm at the Tiger Bay Room, Culture and Media Centre, Loudoun Square, Plas Iona, Butetown, Cardiff CF10 5HW

Full details of the courses can be found on the Cardiff University website.
