Pre-Vent 14-19 Project Services for young People

Bridgend County Borough Council Regional Lead Team for the Pre-VENT 14-19 Project wishes to procure for a range of programme opportunities and activities for targeted young people aged 14-19 at risk of NEET or NEET, for Torfaen County Borough Council, Merthyr Tydfil, Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly Pre-Vent 14-19 Project, who are part of the regional project, funded through European Structural Funding (ESF).
It seeks to engage, re-engage, motivate and inspire 8,000 young people (across the region), through a series of activities, both innovative and established through targeting and supporting young people aged 14-19 who meet the criteria of the project in that they are either NEET or at risk of becoming NEET. The programmes offered should motivate and engage young people who traditionally have not always engaged with formal education and have a range of issues relating to learning. Referrals will take place from comprehensive schools through the Pre-Vent 14-19 projects and the successful organisation should be well established to deliver this provision.
Delivery of Funky Dragon Active Citizenship - Skills Training
Closing date: 13 August 2012
Funky Dragon is currently seeking to offer accredited training to young people who are NEET (not in education, employment or training). Organisations will need to deliver Funky Dragon's Active Citizenship programme and train young people that they work with in Convergence areas. A minimum number of 15 young people must completing Agored Cymru accreditation.
