How you can support The Ride - a 1,000-mile UK-wide bike ride - when it passes through Cardiff on 26 July
- Thursday, 14 June 2012
The Ride is a 1,000-mile UK-wide bike ride to raise awareness about the benefits of sport and diet during cancer treatment. Réka is one of the riders. She was diagnosed with colon cancer in November 2010 at the age of 36. She has had surgery and is currently having active chemotherapy treatment and will be for a good while.
The Ride will be passing through Cardiff on 26 July and they would dearly love to meet up with a local group of cancer patients/survivors and someone from health promotion for a bit of a gathering, a natter, perhaps some healthy food if anyone has a budget for such things these days, and Reka is organising local press to promote the event. They really want local people to get involved at each of the capital cities they are passing through.
If you would like to support The Ride in this way, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it - they would love to hear from you!
