Refugee House at St Fagans National History Museum, June 2012
- Thursday, 14 June 2012
Refugees and Asylum Seekers from Cardiff and Newport have built a house in Oriel 1 at St Fagans: National History Museum. The house and its contents tell the story of their long and sometimes dangerous journeys to Wales, of applying for asylum, and of living here afterwards.
The project is a collaboration between St Fagans: National History Museum, Oasis Cardiff, Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations (Newport’s Young Asylum Seekers Support Service), and is funded by Arts Council Wales.
Here are the remaining events taking place:
June 16 – Workshop by Craftivist Collective, creating mini protest banners (booking essential)
June 23-24 – Performances, cookery demonstrations, talks, workshops and events
