Queen's speech announces plans for Small Donations Bill

Plans for a Small Donations Bill would provide charities with a new system of top-up payments similar to Gift Aid for small cash donations. For donations of less than £20, charities would be able to claim back 25p for every £1 collected in the UK, up to a limit of £5,000 a year. This Bill will apply everywhere in the UK. Of course, this would mean less administration for charities.
