Jobs Growth Wales - new initiative for out-of-work 16- to 24-year-olds

WCVA is a delivery partner of Jobs Growth Wales, a new Welsh Government initiative that will create 4,000 jobs annually for out-of-work 16- to 24-year-olds.

Funding for six months’ employment at national minimum wage is available to employers that are interested in creating opportunities for young people and up to 1,000 of the annual 4,000 jobs will be funded through WCVA’s Jobs Growth Wales programme.

Through the programme, employers will have the opportunity to both directly create jobs that are funded for a six-month period, and also to create employment opportunities that involve elements of training and support similar to the Intermediate Labour Market (ILM) model.

WCVA is holding three information events next month to introduce Jobs Growth Wales, explain how organisations can take part in the programme and offer attendees the chance to ask questions directly to the staff members that will be managing and delivering our Jobs Growth Wales programme.

Here's the date of the Cardiff event:

Wednesday 9 May: SWALEC Stadium, Sophia Gardens, Cardiff

The event will all begin at 10.00am for a 10.30am start and end at 1.00pm when a buffet lunch will be served.

If you would like to reserve places at the event, please email the names of the attendees you wish to book for, your organisation name, contact details and any dietary requirements to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
