Cardiff Partnership: Families First Network Event

Where? The Copthorne Hotel, Culverhouse Cross, Cardiff
Is your organisation planning to bid for Families First funding? Do you want to find out about prospective partnership consortium opportunities?
The purpose of this event is to help you to identify consortia partners so that you can deliver the outcomes set out for our Families First service packages. Come along to find out more.
If you want to attend please come prepared to give a 2 minutes overview of your business and of the services you can provide for any of the following service packages:
Early Years: To provide support for pregnant women and families with children aged under 8, to ensure that children have the best start in life.
Child and Youth Engagement: To work with children and young people aged from 8 to up to 25 and their families, where they need additional support to participate effectively in education and training and take advantage of opportunities for employment; It is also intended to ensure that they are active citizens, who participate effectively and responsibly in the life of their communities and take part in positive activities.
Sustainable Employment: To ensure that low income and economically inactive families with dependent children are supported to maximise their family incomes and to develop the necessary skills and confidence to access learning, employment or volunteering opportunities or to progress in employment.
Healthy Lifestyles: To provide targeted primary prevention to prevent illnesses and diseases from occurring and to reduce health inequalities for children, young people and their families through encouraging healthy lifestyles.
Emotional and Mental Health and Wellbeing: Emotional and Mental Health and Wellbeing.
Disability Focus: To provide additional targeted support to disabled children and young people aged 0-25 and their families to ensure they are able to maximise their life chances.
More information about the service packages, and the outcomes that providers will be expected to contribute to, will be provided on the day.
