What can you trade in?
- Tuesday, 10 April 2012
Trade School Cardiff is happening during Adult Learners' Week in May. Trade School is a great opportunity for different people in the community to learn from each other and about each other. It helps people to realise the value of their skills or knowledge, as well as build confidence and encourage people to get together to exchange ideas. It encourages learning, mutual respect and the social nature of exchange.
There is a meeting for anyone interested in getting involved with Trade School Cardiff on Thursday 12 April from 7-9pm in the Owain Glyndwr pub on St John Street in Cardiff city centre.
At Trade School anyone who wishes to pass on practical skills, big ideas, knowledge or experience can offer to teach a class in exchange for goods. People wishing to take part in the class can register their place and say which of the required goods they will bring as payment. Classes can be as practical as making bread to as theoretical as ghosthunting; tutors can teach anything as long as there are people who wish to learn and the subject is not about exploiting others or self-promotion.
