Young People's Advocate on Sexual Violence and Exploitation Grant

Organisations are invited to bid for funding to recruit up to 13 new Young People's Advocates who will provide direct and dedicated support to young people who are victims of, or at risk from, sexual violence and exploitation.
Grants of up to £30,000 per year, for the three years between April 2012 and March 2015, are available to fund the salary costs of the Young People's Advocate post.
Any organisation in England and Wales with a track record of all of the following is eligible to apply:
- Working and engaging with young people.
- Working with victims of sexual violence and/or sexual exploitation.
- Working with street gangs.
Joint bids from organisations who are able to work together to demonstrate the full range of expertise required for this post are encouraged. Bids are also encouraged from large organisations for multiple posts to cover a wide geographical area, or national organisations to cover multiple areas.
The deadline for applications is 12 March 2012 (midday).
