Organised by Ash Wales, Kick Butts Day is an annual celebration of youth activism and leadership for young people in Wales.

Kick Butts Day (KBD) falls on the 4 April 2012 and, in order to celebrate Wales’s five years being Smoke Free, Ash Wales is are holding a celebration/campaign event at the Oval Basin, Cardiff Bay. Partners, networks and groups are invited to join in the day to celebrate the anniversary and to move tobacco control forward in Wales by standing up, speaking out and seizing control.

If you are interested in attending this free event as a participant, here are some of Ash Wales's  suggested tobacco control Welsh messages that you may wish to use at the event:
1) Plain packaging / replacement smokers
2) Retail register / underage purchasing
3) Smoking in movies and on set / de-normalising and de-glamorising tobacco
4) Other general smoke-free messages

KBD is about engaging young people in tobacco control and smoking awareness. Ash Wales hopes you will use this event as an opportunity to engage young people in your work around smoke free in an interactive and participatory manner. Your chosen area of tobacco control can utilise a wide variety of media and creativity. Your stall should be interactive and educative to the public.
