Hafan Cymru’s Christmas Initiative - Buy One Christmas Gift, Give One For Free

  • PDF

In the run up to Christmas, it is has been revealed that a quarter (25%) of people will be doing the majority of their Christmas shopping online. However, it seems the festive spirit does not encourage a giving streak, as only a fifth of people (20%) donate more during Christmas to charity over other times of the year.

As the recession continues to bite, many charities are finding it harder than ever to access funding to deliver critical support services in our communities. Hafan Cymru, a Wales-wide charitable organisation,  is appealing to online shoppers to get the most out of their money by raising much needed funds to support survivors of Domestic Abuse and their children across Wales and help educate future generations to prevent abuse and violence in the home, simply by shopping online.

It is a fact that over the festive period the incidents of Domestic Abuse will increase and the money raised through easyfundraising donations will go towards supporting the families Hafan Cymru supports to piece back their lives and live a life free from fear.

Hafan Cymru has joined easyfundraising - an online gateway to over 2,000 well known retailers, featuring high street names such as M&S, Argos, Amazon and Tesco. When supporters shop using the links on the easyfundraising site, Hafan Cymru receives a free donation of up to 15% of the purchase price.
